Artist’s Statement

Art is about human beings expressing their thoughts, ideas, feelings and emotions. The media used vary, and during the 20th Century they expanded and changed at a fast pace. My own art has been and continues to be an exploration filled with experiments. My photo-real paintings are planned from the moment I load my camera with film and begin to “see” the world. These paintings are personal. They are paintings, based on photographs, somewhat detached, impersonal, and cool. They are often nostalgic, reflective, quiet and peaceful.
