University of Bath Off-Campus Research Program

The Westmont Kinesioogy Department has a long history of innovative off-campus programs. The latest venture is an exciting international research experience at the University of Bath in Bath, England. In June of 2014, seven kinesiology majors spent one month collaborating with exercise and health science graduate students conducting research. Our students planned and conducted a research study involving HIIT (high intensity interval training). Each student participated both as a subject in the study and as a researcher, collecting data. In this way, the students gained a complete research experience from beginning to end. This data will be formally presented at the Westmont Student Research Symposium. A new group of student researchers, led by Dr. Afman, will enjoy a similar experience this summer.
