Ryan joined the Westmont faculty in 2000 and serves as the assistant coach for the men’s soccer team as well as teaching in the Kinesiology department. Ryan enjoys the combination of teaching lower division activity courses, upper division Kinesiology courses and coaching, all of which provide a very well rounded schedule that allows for interaction with students at many different levels.
One of Ryan’s favorite aspects of his work is performing research in the human performance lab, specifically in the area of biomechanical motion analysis running research. The opportunity to involve of a number of students from the kinesiology major in the research process has been very rewarding. Ryan hopes that his passion for exposing students to graduate school opportunities as well as to research experiences will be beneficial for our majors who are potentially looking towards graduate studies.
Ryan enjoys spending his free time outdoors with his wife Liz, and two sons, Graeme (4) and Evan (2).
