Cognitive Psychology; Psychology of Business, Religion

Professor Michael L. Klassen is the author of five books and over fifty articles in psychology, business, and religion. His most recent book was recommended for a National Book Award in non-fiction. He has appeared on Dateline NBC for his research on the psychology of obesity. His research has been featured in the London Financial Times and on National Public Radio, ABC 20/20, and numerous national radio programs. He was Invited Lecturer in serveral different European and Asian undergraduate and graduate programs, and he served as Invited Professor at Jordan, McGrath, Case, & Taylor, a top-tier advertising agency located in New York City. Dr. Klassen serves on five editorial boards for scholarly journals in psychology and business.

Dr. Klassen received his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology in 1987 and is Professor Emeritus at the University of Northern Iowa, where he taught for thirty years. He has swam year-round for 40 years and is an avid ocean distance swimmer. He and his wife, Emily Graber, have three grown children.
