Registration Instructions

1. The Business Office will notify you if you are not financially eligible to register. The Campus Pastor's Office will notify you of any registration holds for excess chapel absences.
   
   
2. Do some initial schedule planning before you see your academic advisor. Make an appointment with your advisor now. Courses have limited enrollments, so please plan for alternatives which will not displace your required courses. As you select courses, check your Westmont College Catalog to make sure you have satisfied any applicable prerequisites. When you meet with your advisor take your Academic Evaluation and Transcript with you.
   
   
3. Fitness for Life (PEA 032) should be completed by first-year and transfer students during their first year of enrollment. Only one PEA course may be taken per semester so please plan accordingly. Subsequent PEA courses in a given activity must be at a higher level.
   
   
4. Most courses do not require the instructor’s signature. However, you will not be registered in the classes listed below without first obtaining the appropriate signatures:
   
   
   1. All Education classes require a signature from a faculty member in the Education Department.
   2. If you want to register for a course having a prerequisite that you have not satisfied, you must have the instructor’s signature on the registration form.
   3. Internship/Practicum: Registration will not be completed until you submit the signed “Internship/Practicum Learning Agreement Form”(ILAF). You may preregister for “0 - units” at registration. Units will be added when you turn in the signed ILAF form. Make certain that when these units are added they will not place you in an overload unless you qualify to take 19-21 units. The deadline for submitting these forms is Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 3:30pm. After the deadline late adds will be considered by petition only. If approved, a late fee of $40.00 will be assessed.
   4. Directed Study: All Tutorial and Research courses require submission of a completed application. Forms are available in the Student Records Office. The deadline for submitting these forms is Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 3:30pm. After the deadline a late fee of $40.00 will be assessed.
   5. Dance Performance (TA 031/131): Enrollment in this course is by audition only. You must obtain the instructor's signature on your registration form prior to enrolling.
      
      
5. Report to the Student Records Office with your Registration Form:

• signed by your advisor
• at the time printed on your Registration Form
  

6. If your registration time conflicts with a class or lab you are enrolled in, you may:

• ask a friend to register for you at your scheduled time. Make sure they have your signed Registration Form.
• register any time between 9:00am-2:00pm after your scheduled registration time. Do not skip your class to register!
