Rediscover Westmont

Rediscover Westmont and reconnect with friends at Homecoming 2004, September 24-25. The alumni office works with a committee of volunteers to plan an unforgettable experience.

“The many activities serve as excellent opportunities to reunite with classmates and network with other talented alumni,” said Janice Herrema Wagner ’98, associate director of alumni and parent relations.

Enjoy a family fiesta, a Homecoming chapel with President Stan D. Gaede, a class without a quiz, and a celebration brunch. For classes ending in “4” and “9,” reunion committees are planning an evening filled with festive class parties, good food and fun. Look for more information in the mail and find a complete overview of the Homecoming weekend schedule on the college’s Web site: www.westmont.edu/_alumni/index.html.

Alumni Celebrate Commencement

Lee Swanson PhotoAt Commencement in May, 24 members of the class of 1954 marched in the procession with the class of 2004 as Golden Warriors (top left). They celebrated their 50th reunion during the weekend.

A growing number of Westmont students are the children of alumni; 17 second-generation Warriors graduated in May (bottom left).

Three generations celebrated the graduation of one 2004 alumnus: Golden Warriors Sam ’50 and Betsy Thornburgh ’49 Burton (below left) are the grandparents and Tom ’76 and Beth Burton ’75 Day (below right) are the parents of Caleb Day ’04.
