Where we've come from....

Hello! I am the assistant to the director of Academic Advising and Disability Services.

I am a native of Ventura California where I live with my husband and three children. Some of the things I enjoy beyond work are spending time at my kids games, thrift store shopping, going to the beach, cooking, and entertaining. I look forward to meeting you as you navigate your college life here at Westmont. You might also see me in the Theatre Arts department, as I am the acedemic secretary for Theatre Arts as well.

Why we're here...

For the last three years I've been working with students with disabilities and anyone who is looking for a little academic advice. I'm here to help schedule appointments for tests, proctor exams, work with professors, acquire tests and manage the Academic Advising office. However I leave the questions of academic requirements up to Michelle Hardley. I am available usually in the afternoons if you you need to make appointments with Michelle and am almost always delighted to chat whenever a student feels the need talk.

Why we stay...

I stay because I understand the struggle for success. I also believe that we, like diamonds, are in need of a Master who can make all the right cuts in our lives to help us reach our maximum brilliance.

First, if I can, I will answer your questions regarding the process of using our advosomg amd disability resources. Second I will direct any questions I can't answer to someone who can or even track the answer down for you. Third, I will always try to maneuver my schedule to work with anyone who has a need for books on cd or has a test to be taken. While working in the Theatre office generally keeps me out until the afternoons. I can still be reached via e-mail almost everyday! Please drop me a line so that we can get to know eachother at blemons@westmont.edu or call me at ext. 6135.
