Commitee Information

All positions on the Spring Sing Committee are part of a creative team that plans, manages, and produces Spring Sing. The committee functions as a team, but there are tasks specific to each role. The responsibilities for each committee member are listed below.

The time commitment grows as Spring Sing approaches. In general, committee members can expect:

  • 1 hour a week for weekly committee meetings
  • 2-3 hours a week of position specific work
  • 4-5 hours per night the week of gym rehearsals (approximately 7pm to 11pm)
  • Most of the day for dress rehearsal and Spring Sing
  • 3 hours of post Spring Sing debriefing

Committee Position

Position Summary
Assistant Stage Manager The Assistant Stage Manager is a hybrid role: at the start of the Spring Sing season this position focuses on administrative support; as the show gets closer, the position transitions to Assistant Stage Manager.
Band Director The Band Director coordinates the band members and directs all live music for Spring Sing.  

Business Manager

(Note: this position already filled)

The Spring Sing Business Manager is responsible for handling all business matters related to Spring Sing.
Graphic Designer The Graphic Designer is responsible for all graphic design elements of Spring Sing, including creatively and consistently integrating the Spring Sing theme into the branding of the show. 
Kick-Off and Hospitality Coordinator The Kick-Off & Hospitality Coordinator organizes Spring Sing Kick-Off and is responsible for hospitality during the week of the show

Producer

(Note: this position already filled)
Responsible for the entirety of the show. This position is hired in the Spring and it is required that applicants have served on the committee or directed a skit.
Stage Manager The Stage Manager is in charge of all backstage happenings and works under the direction of the Producer and Technical Producer.  It is essential that they desire, and are able, to be in constant communication with the Technical Producer.  They are also responsible for organizing and securing side acts.
Video Coordinator The Video Coordinator is responsible for creative video documentation of the Spring Sing process.  Note: the show itself will be recorded professionally (arranged by the Technical Producer).
