AV Equipment Instructions

Winter Hall, Adams Center, Observatory

 

LAPTOP:

1. Turn on system with keypad "On/Off" button (screen will come down, LCD projector will turn on)

2. Plug in Laptop to counter top connection and turn on Laptop

3. Allow LCD projector to warm up (number count down ends and SANYO disappears from screen)

4. Select "Laptop VGA" or "Floorbox" button on keypad

5. For Laptop audio, connect audio cable to laptop headphone jack

6. Adjust volume on keypad

7. Press "On/Off" button on keypad when done (screen will go up and LCD projector will turn off)

 

DVD/Blu Ray:

1. Turn on system with keypad "On/Off" button (screen will come down, LCD projector will turn on)

2. Allow LCD projector to warm up (number count down ends and SANYO disappears from screen)

3. Press BluRay button keypad (press "DVD" button in Adams 216)

4. Insert disc and press "play" on Blu Ray player

5. Adjust volume on keypad

6. Press "On/Off" button on keypad when done (screen will go up and LCD projector will turn off)

 

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS: Rooms with different components

WH210:

LAPTOP or Document Camera:

1. Connect laptop ( or Document Camera) to VGA cable (and audio if you need sound)

2. Turn on Laptop or Document Camera

3. Touch panel on left side wall of room

4. Select input: "Podium Input"

5. Choose screen send to - Left, Both or Right (screen will come down and LCD will turn on)

6. Adjust volume levels if needed on left side of touch panel

7. Select "Return" on upper left to go back to previous screen to exit or select another source.

8. Select "Exit/System Off" on lower right, select "Yes" to turn off - screens go up, LCD turns off.

 

Blu Ray/ DVD:

1. Touch panel on left side wall of room

2. Turn on Blu Ray player in Lectern

3. Select input: "Podium Input" on touch panel

5. Choose screen send to - Left, Both or Right (screen will come down and LCD will turn on)

6. Adjust volume levels if needed on left side of touch panel

7. Select "Return" on upper left to go back to previous screen to exit or select another source.

8. Select "Exit/System Off" on lower right, select "Yes" to turn off - screens go up, LCD turns off.

 

VCR in Adams 216 or 217

1. VCR is on bottom shelf of lectern

2. Use instructions for Blu Ray to turn on system

3. Select "video" on keypad

4. Adjust volume on keypad

5. Press "On/Off" button on keypad when done (screen will go up and LCD projector will turn off
