Equipment Instructions
LCD Projector:
1. Plug presentation equipment (VCR, DVD, Laptop) into LCD.
2. Turn on LCD projector and let warm up
3. Turn on VCR, DVD or Laptop
4. Select correct input for equipment you are using with either
"input" or "mode" button on LCD or control panel
5. Allow to cool down after turned off. Bulbs cost about $450.
Laptop:
1. connect to LCD projector with both machines off.
2. Turn on LCD and let it warm up.
3. Switch input on LCD projector to "computer"
3. Turn on Laptop.
4.If Laptop image does not appear on both screens, press the "Fn"
key on the lower left of Laptop keyboard at the same time as one of the
"F" keys along the top of Laptop keyboard that has either a picture of 2 screens
or the letters "LCD/VGA". Each time you press these keys together, the
Laptop will switch between 3 or 4 views. One of these views is the image projected
on both laptop and wall screen.
5. If image still does not show, check Laptop resolution and lower it if it is higher than
1024 x 768.
HDTV
To use TV remote:
1. press "Power" button on remote then press "Source" button on remote
to switch TV between the different inputs.
2. To use with Laptop, plug Laptop into long VGA cable and turn on Laptop.
3. Press TV remote "Source" button to switch TV to "S-Video 2" or "RGB-Comp"
Laptop "refresh rate" might need to be changed to 60mhz.
DVD Player
Check the type of dvd or cd disc that you plan to use. Some DVD players
will not play non commercial discs that were "burned" on a computer or home machine.
Most DVD players on campus play most types of discs. To be sure, it is best to
try out your disc before you plan to use it in class.
