Life-Threatening Emergencies

Call 911

State the problem and your exact location when you call 911.
If you become ill or injured when the Health Center is closed, your resident assistant (R.A.) or resident director (R.D.) can give you first-aid supplies or help you get to a local health facility.

If your R.A. or R.D. is not available and you want to see a doctor before the Health Center opens, check your student insurance brochure to find out whether the
insurance will cover the medical services you receive.

If it will, identify yourself as a Westmont student at the emergency center. They will send you a bill. Bring this bill to the Health Center, and the secretary will help you file a claim with the student insurance company. The insurance company will not make a payment without this claim.
