What is a WageWorks Flexible Spending Account?

A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is a benefit provided by Westmont that allows you to deposit a certain amount of your paycheck into a Section-125+ approved account before paying income taxes. During the year you can be reimbursed from the account for eligible health care and dependent care expenses. A FSA is a Section-125 IRS regulated account, which is applied to the “use it or lose it” rule—all funds must be “used” by the end of the plan year or they will be forfeited.
