Making Changes

Change Happens

Change is inevitable — whether in your personal or work life. When change impacts your benefits, Westmont's HR Team is here to help.

Reviewing & revisiting Your Plan Selections

At some point, you may want to make a change to your plan — add a beneficiary, upgrade coverage, switch medical plans. You are free to make changes each February (effective March 1st) during Annual Open Enrollment for the following calendar year. You may only make mid-year changes if you experience a "life event" change.

*Not sure what plans you are enrolled in? Check WebAdvisor's Total Compensation Statement.

Life Events

A change in your personal or work life can change your benefits. When a "life event" takes place, you may be able to make mid-year changes to some or all of your benefit elections. The following life events may impact your benefits:

  • Marriage
  • Having Children (including adoption and fostering)
  • Taking Leave
  • Changes In Your Schedule/Eligiblity
  • Other Life Events:
    • Changes in Spouse's employment
    • Loss of COBRA coverage
    • Family member obtaining coverage elsewhere

When you have a life event change, be sure to contact Human Resources as soon as possible.
