6.12 Retirement Plan Benefits

All regular employees are eligible to participate in the college's 403(b) retirement plan. A regular employee who has reached the age of 26 and meets the service criteria of 1000 hours worked will be eligible to receive a pre-tax matching contribution from the college of up to seven percent of base pay, based on the employee's personal pre-tax contribution of up to three percent of base pay. The 1000 hours of service waiting period will be waived for those were employed for at least 1000 hours by another institution of higher education immediately prior to employment at Westmont. Details about this benefit are available in the Human Resources office.
