D. Leave for Victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault

Unpaid leave will be granted in accordance with State law for victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault to obtain any relief, including a restraining order or other injunctive relief to help ensure the safety and welfare of the victim or his or her child. Unpaid leave will also be granted to seek medical attention, to obtain services from a domestic violence shelter, program, or rape crises center and to obtain counseling related to an experience of domestic violence or sexual assault.
