What is MyStorage?

MyStorage is a new service from IT and our partner Box.com that allows you store an unlimited number of files in the Cloud and access them from virtually any device – on or off campus.

Downloading Box Sync for Mac/Windows

How to Download the latest version of Box Sync for Mac/Windows to start syncing content between your desktop and your MyStorage account.

  • Navigate to https://mystorage.westmont.edu and click the continue button
  • If you are directed to the myWestmont login, simply enter your user name and password to login.
  • Once you’re logged into you myStorage account, click My Account and then click Get Box Sync

For Mac users, click on the Box Sync for Mac to download it to your Mac.

Once the installer has downloaded to your computer, run it and follow the on-screen instructions to setup Box Sync for Mac.

For Windows users, click on the Windows link on the right side of the page, and the installer will download to your computer.

How do I Access myStorage (Box) from a Mobile Device?

This is an overview of how to access Box with a mobile app.

To access Box from a mobile device:

Instructions for iPhone or iPad

  • Download and install the correct Box app for your device.
    • Box app for iOS (choose this for iPhone or iPad)

  • After you have installed the Box app for your mobile device, start the app, and you will be presented with three options; choose I have an account.
  • Do not enter your email address and password in the next screen. Rather, tap More login options at the bottom. On Android devices, choose Log in with SSO.

  • In the next screen, enter in your email address (WestmontID@westmont.edu) and tap Continue.

  • This will bring you to the standard myWestmont Login page. Enter in your Westmont ID and passphrase and you should then see your Box files.

  • If you are having problems with the Box app, please try to log out then log back in to the app. If that doesn’t work please call 805-565-6111 or visit the IT HelpDesk in Voskuyl Library. To log out, tap on Settings, then choose Log Out.

Instructions fo Android

  • After you have installed the Box app for your Android, open it.
