Who is eligible to participate?

Sophomores, juniors, and seniors from any major.

Are there prerequisites?

Very few: one semester of college Spanish or the equivalent. Additionally, all participants will attend a pre-departure orientation seminar during the spring semester.

When is the program?

WIM occurs each fall semester. The dates for the 2009 program are yet to be determined.

How much does it cost?

There are no additional costs to attend WIM. You can study in Mexico for the same price as being on-campus. We’ll even pay your airfare to Mexico City (from LAX)!

Who teaches my classes?

A Westmont faculty member leads each group (of 15-20 students) and teaches the Integrative Seminar on Engaging Culture. Other classes and taught by Mexican university professors. The Westmont leaders for 2009 will be Dr. David Hunter dhunter@westmont.edu and Dr. Patti Hunter phunter@westmont.edu

How do I apply?

Download the application, or pick up a hard copy from the Off-Campus Programs Office in Kerrwood Hall. The application deadline is October 31.

When will I know if I have been accepted?

You should recceive this information before Christmas break.

How many students can participate in WIM?

We will accept approximately 15 students for the program, and no more than 20.
