Student Employment:
Your Next Steps

Almost there…

Unless you have worked on campus in the past, you are not finished with the employment process until you have presented original documents to your supervisor establishing your identity and eligibility to work in the U.S.
DOT Take your original work authorization documents to your supervisor so he/she can complete Section 2 of your I-9 form.
The Lists of Acceptable Documents can be found on page 3 of Form
I-9.  Please note that unless otherwise noted in the lists, documents must be original.  Copies, faxes or scans of documents are not acceptable, and documents must not be expired.

DOTYour offer of employment (TEA) will automatically void if your employment process is not completed within 14 days of its creation, so make sure you act quickly to ensure your supervisor can complete the I-9 and Student Employment can review it for errors.
DOTYou MAY NOT begin working (or even training for) your new role until you receive an email from Student Employment indicating your Job Offer is complete.

SUPERVISOR

You will know your student can begin to work when you receive an email with the subject line:  "Completed:  Job Offer for 'Student' "
