First Year Retreat: Owning Your Story
September 14 to September 16, 2012
The First Year Retreat invites students to connect while exploring and growing through
their college transition at the exciting setting of El Capitan Canyon. Complete with
swimming, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, s’mores and bonfires, friendships and memories
are sure to be made. We encourage all first year Westmont students to attend!
The retreat costs only $40 per student and includes food, accommodations, fun, and programming. To sign up for the retreat, please register here. Space is limited so sign up now!

The theme of the First Year Retreat is Owning Your Story. Students will have an opportunity to hear the stories about the transition to college from faculty and staff members, breakout into small groups lead by Westmont faculty, staff, or student leaders, and select to participate in the following workshops:
"Owning Your Faith" - Ben Patterson
"Owning Your Relationships" - Residence Life
"Owning Your Physical & Emotional Health" - David Hernandez and the Counseling Center
"Owning Your Academics" - Office of Life Planning
