Mail Forwarding - Policies & Procedures

Before you tell us where you want your mail, let us explain about WHAT, WHO, and WHEN...

We only forward first class mail.

Second Class Mail or Presorted Standard mail is disposed of as it cannot be forwarded.

Magazines also cannot be forwarded, so we put those in a bin for others to enjoy. If you want to receive your magazines while gone, you will need to notify the magazine of your forwarding address.

We are also unable to forward intercampus mail. If you are returning, we will hold it for you in your mailbox. If you are not returning, we will return it to the department that issued it, and they determine if it will be mailed to you.

Christmas Break and Spring Break- NO MAIL FORWARDING. Check your bank statements online!

Semester away programs - We will forward your mail to your home while you are away.

Westmont in San Francisco - mail is sent there once weekly.

Westmont Downtown - mail is sent there twice weekly.

Fall Semester withdrawals - Your mail will be forwarded until the end of the Fall Semester.

December Graduates and withdrawals - Your mail will be forwarded until the beginning of Spring Recess.

Sping Semester withdrawals - Your mail will be forwarded until the end of the Spring Semester.

May Graduates - Your mail will be forwarded until the Friday that precedes August 1.

Mayterm Attendees and summer Ocean View residents- If you let us know your status, we will deliver your mail to your campus mailbox. Please fill out a forwarding request below.

After Mayterm - We will begin forwarding your mail if you were attending Mayterm and living on campus. If you were living in Ocean View and are now leaving, fill out a forwarding request below.

All other returning students - We will forward your mail until the Friday preceding August 15. The following Monday, we will begin holding mail at your campus mailbox for your return.

WHERE WE WILL FORWARD YOUR MAIL:
-- We will forward your mail to your home address on file with the Registrar's Office, if that address is in the U.S.
-- If your home address is a foreign country, and you are a returning student, we will hold the mail for your return.

If you want your mail forwarded anywhere else in the US instead of your home address on file with the registrar's office: please complete the forwarding request form below.(please do NOT submit a form if your home address on record is where you want your mail to go):

**Please note that submitting this form to Westmont Mailing Services does not inform the records office or the Alumni Office of any change of address. You must notify those offices separately.**

If your situation changes after you submit this request, simply come back to this form and submit a new one. Thank you!
