Faculty Development
We hope that our faculty will grow as a community of Christian teacher-scholars, as well as growing as individuals.
We hope that faculty will prosper as human beings in the context of their chosen vocation here at Westmont — that their concerns as individuals and their concerns as Westmont faculty members will complement each other, rather than be at cross purposes.
In keeping with these goals, and recognizing both the complex and seasonal nature of faculty lives, we proceed in our program by offering opportunities and invitations. Though the opportunities offered by the Faculty Development Program can certainly facilitate progress toward promotion and tenure, the work of the Faculty Development Committee is quite separate from the work of the Personnel Committee.
