Paul Mori

During the Santa Barbara Music Club’s performance in the Faulkner Gallery of the Santa Barbara Public Library, there were two performances featuring Westmont College music faculty and students. The first was a Vivaldi bassoon concerto performed by faculty member Paul Mori (photo) with accompaniment from a string quartet of Westmont music students Isaac Kay, Matthew Maler, Erik Fauss, and Tim Beccue. The other performance on the program was by adjunct faculty members Andrea DiMaggio (flute) and Neil Di Maggio (piano), who performed J.S. Bach's “Sonata No. 2, BMW 1031.” Instructor of oboe Adelle Rodkey was also featured on the Music Club program this fall in a performance of the Mozart oboe concerto at the Faulkner Gallery.

Laura WalterInstructor of flute Laura Walter (photo) has been appointed Education Coordinator for the internationally renowned Ojai Music Festival, to be held in June of 2016. Robert Rockabrand, instructor of voice, performed with the Santa Barbara Choral Society, the State Street Ballet and Santa Barbara Symphony for two performances of Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" and Leonard Bernstein's "Chichester Psalms" in the Granada Theatre.

Michael Lieberman, who teaches viola, played principal viola for Opera Santa Barbara’s opening season production of “Don Giovanni” and performed on viola with the Santa Barbara Symphony. Instructor of piano Egle Januleviciute played a solo recital for the "Music at Trinity" concert series at Trinity Episcopal Church in late November.
