How did you end up at Westmont? They hired me! Seriously, finished my masters and ever since my RA experience as a senior at Westmont had the RD positioin on the back burner. After finishing my masters in counseling I applied to the “usual suspects” in the Christian college world the doors flew open at Westmont and I’m thankful for that.

Favorite thing about Westmont? The students by a long shot! I also believe in our philosophy in Residence Life in educating and integrating all that we do here into the living experience of the students. It’s also not an ugly place to live and raise a family.

What makes you laugh? Students, Spring Sing and Seinfeld, (and other things that start with “s”)

Favorite college memory: Almost everything… especially Europe Semester my junior year. Of course, meeting my wife, Nora, at RA training our senior years and directing VK men to a Sweepstakes win in Spring Sing my junior year.

Favorite book in your library? Genres: history, theology and sci-fi. Books: Knowing God by J.I. Packer, anything by C.S. Lewis, and I’m a John Grisham fan.

What hidden skill or talent do you have that most people wouldn't guess? I’m pretty good with fixing cars, and I can play my teeth so that it sounds like a kazoo!
