Call Forwarding

General Forwarding Information:

“Forwarding” your telephone is the ability to redirect an incoming call to another extension depending on the “condition,” or status, of your phone. There are three conditions:

1. Forward-All – Every call to your extension is redirected,
2. Forward-Busy –A call is redirected when your extension is in use, and
3. Forward-No Answer – Calls are redirected when you do not answer.

By default the extension for “Forward-No Answer” is x6775. For “Forward-Busy” the default is your Line 2 (Line 2 is your extension with a “0” in front of it). When you do not answer a call forwarded to your Line 2 it is forwarded to your voice mailbox so the caller can leave a message.

The buttons on your telephones include FWD-ALL and FWD-BUSY buttons. These buttons make it easy to forward your phone and identify the state of each forward condition. When either button is lit, a forward condition is set. When it is off, the forward condition is not set.

Directions to Forward Your Calls:

1. To forward all your calls to voicemail:
-Pick up the phone. Press the key labeled “FWD ALL” or dial *5 and dial the extension to which calls will be forwarded. Hang up after the confirmation tone. Your screen should display “forward set” as well.

2. To forward calls then your line is busy:
- Pick up the phone. Press the key labeled “FWD BUSY” or press *6 and dial the extension to which calls will be forwarded. Hang up after confirmation tone. Your screen should display “forward set” as well.

3. To forward calls after 4 rings (”No Answer”):
- Pick up the phone. Dial *7 and the extension to which calls will be forwarded. Hang up after confirmation tone. Your screen should display “forward set” as well.

* If you will be away for an extended period you may want to set Forward- All to voice mail so that callers will be directed to your voice mailbox immediately, rather than wait through four rings.

4. To CANCEL a call forward:
- Pick up the phone. Press the key of the forward you would like to cancel (FWD ALL or FWD BUSY) or enter #5 (all calls), #6 (busy calls) or #7 (4 rings). Hang up after confirmation tone. Your screen should also display “forward cancel” as well.
