About Emmaus Road
Since Westmont's inception, the training and mobilization of students for the purpose of incarnational ministry overseas has been integral. Today, Emmaus Road carries on that rich heritage by providing opportunities for students to grow and develop into globally-minded men and women -- intellectually and experientially equipped for Christ-like servant-leadership in a physically and spiritually impoverished world.
Emmaus Road is dedicated to developing a Christ-centered heart for missions at Westmont by raising awareness about global issues and mobilizing students to proclaim the Kingdom of God among the nations.
Summer International Mission Projects
Since 2002, Emmaus Road has sent out over 100 students to partner with full-time missionaries and mission organizations around the world. This past summer alone, Emmaus Road sent students to China, Nepal, Uganda, Guatemala, and Bolivia! These summer service projects have resulted in intimately connecting Westmont students with their brothers and sisters in Christ around the globe, challenging students to intersect giftings, passions, and study with living life on mission, and providing an outlet to share how God is, in fact, moving in all corners of our planet.
Global Focus Week (Oct 31 - Nov 4) - Conflict & Reconciliation
During the academic year, Emmaus Road facilitates, hosts, and oversees Global Focus Week -- a full-scale event on campus seeking to both explore complex global issues and promote awareness and excitement about incarnational ministry locally and abroad!
This year, Global Focus Week focused on conflict and the possibilities for reconciliation in our world.
