Westmont Consistently Ranks in the Top 100 Liberal Arts Colleges

For the fifth straight year, U.S. News & World Report ranked Westmont among the 100 best liberal arts colleges in the nation and the top 10 in California.

Kiplinger’s Personal Finance lists Westmont as No. 83 in 2014 and features colleges that provide high-quality academics at a reasonable cost. Westmont scored well in several attributes that parents and students seek: small class sizes, a good freshman-retention rate and a high four-year graduation rate.

Westmont ranks among the best colleges in the west in Princeton Review’s 2014 report, which includes 124 colleges in 15 western states (41 in California). Nationwide, Princeton Review ranked only 643 institutions—25 percent of U.S. four-year colleges—in four regions. Princeton noted Westmont’s excellent academic programs and positive reports by students about their campus experiences.

Forbes Magazine ranked Westmont No. 74 among colleges and universities in its survey, Grateful Grads: Top Return-on-Investment. Westmont is one of three Christian colleges nationally and nine schools in California in the top 100. The ranking measures the amount of private gifts given to four-year colleges divided by the number of full-time students.
