Favorite Aspect of Westmont: Among many other things, my favorite aspect of Westmont is the community. In my time at Westmont, I have been welcomed into a community that is filled with professors, coaches, and students that have deeply cared about who I am as an individual. This community has pushed me to leave the status quo behind and to challenge myself far beyond any perceived limits. Throughout these last 4 years, the Westmont community has supported me when I have needed it most and has motivated me to be the best version of myself each day.

Favorite Westmont memory: My favorite Westmont memory took place during the fall semester of my senior year, when I had the opportunity to be a part of the Westmont Downtown Program. I enjoyed this experience because it allowed me to gain valuable work experience, learn about social entrepreneurship, and still continue to pursue my baseball career. There was one week specifically towards the end of the semester where in a span of 3 days I felt like I had conquered the world. I delivered a presentation to my boss on the subject of my entire semester’s work for him, played in our annual Fall World Series for baseball, and presented my Big Idea Project to a board of social entrepreneurs. At the time it seemed like a daunting task to complete all three, but looking back on it this was one of my most memorable and fulfilling moments at Westmont.

Favorite Place on Campus: Russ Carr Field. As a member of the baseball team at Westmont, I had the privilege of being a part of the three most successful teams in school history. More important than that, this was the place where I developed many of my relationships that I know will last a lifetime. Ultimately, I will always remember Russ Carr Field as the place that taught me many life lessons such as: working alongside others to achieve a common goal, controlling what I can control, and honoring God with the abilities that he has given me.

Why do you work at Westmont? I work at Westmont because I want to see others grow in the same way that I did in my time here. I strongly believe in the mission of the college because I see it being lived out by the faculty and staff every day. Seeing the faculty and staff invest so heavily in the lives of their students inspired me to want to have that same impact on other student’s lives.

Hobbies: Living, breathing, and playing sports (Go Dodgers and Lakers). Eating Mexican Food. Hiking. Writing. Listening to music. Debating. Playing board games (especially a competitive game of monopoly). Stargazing at our observatory. Watching movies: (Inception, Dark Knight, Hitch). Spending time with family.
