Greetings Warrior fans! Welcome to the new and improved Warrior Sports Online web site. This is the address for the latest in West mont athletics news, plus comprehensive history and records foreach of the 12 Warrior sports.
Feel free to surf the more than 200 pages of information, statistics, photos and history. Find your name among the many lists of former athletes, discover if you still hold that school record, or investigate the outlook for the coming year in your favorite sport. Fall sports open 2002-03 campaigns
Five sets of athletes will soon arrive on campus to prepare for the fall sports season. The women's soccer team is coming off a NAIA national championship, and will be led by junior Karin Sullivan (pictured). The men's soccer squad has one of its toughest schedules ever as they try to repeat the GSAC championship of a year ago. The volleyball and both the men's and women's cross country teams competed at NAIA nationals last season and hope to have repeat performances. Previews and updated rosters will soon be online. Check out the upcoming schedules, as well as pictures, history and records.
Westmont finishes 7th in Sears Cup race
(June 15, 2002) - The Westmont athletic program continued to hold its place among the NAIA elite with a 7th-place finish in the 2001-02 Sears Directors' Cup competition. The Sears Cup race awards points in each spo rt based on regional and national finishes. Nine of the 12 Warrior teams scored points during the season, led by a national championship in women's soccer, and a national quarterfinal appearance by the men's basketball team. [more]
