- Why won't my phone let me call some (805) area code numbers?
- Some calls in the (805) area code are not local calls
(ex: Santa Maria, Ventura). You will need to first enter
your long distance access code. Then, dial "8"
followed by the number. You do not need to enter the area
code like you would before a normal long distance call.
-
- How do I fast forward or rewind through a long, boring
message?
- Pressing "9" will jump ahead 10 seconds.
Pressing "7" will jump back 10 seconds. Pressing
"7" more than once will start the message over again.
-
- How would my roommate(s) and I go about making separate
voice mailboxes for each of us?
- After entering voice mail by picking up the phone and
dialing "6775" and entering your password, press "8"
for feature options. Then, press "3" to add or
delete an individual mailbox. Next, press "1"
to add a new individual mailbox. You will then be walked
through instructions for personalizing your mailbox.
-
- How do I get call waiting?
- Pick up your phone and dial "#" then "6."
WARNING: If you do this, messages cannot be sent to your mailbox
while you are on the phone. If you re-think this idea,
and decide you prefer having your voice mailbox pick up when
you are already on the phone, you can reset it. Simply,
pick up the phone and dial "*" then "6" followed
by "6775" and hang up. Try it out.
-
- How would I forward my calls directly to voice mail?
- Begin by picking up the phone and dialing "#" then
"5." Hang up. Pick up the phone again and
dial "*" and "5" followed by "6775."
Hang up. Try it out.
-
- How could I forward my phone calls to another room (ex:
if I'm studying in my friend's room)?
- Pick up the phone and dial "#" and "5."
Hang up. Pick up the phone and dial "*" and "5"
followed by the 4 digit extension of the room where you will
be. Hang up. Try it out. When you return, pick
up the phone and dial "#" and "5" to cancel
your previous forward.
