Professor Carter Crockett, PhD

crockett

About Carter:

Dr. Carter Crockett graduated from Westmont in 1992, spent a decade in marketing and entrepreneurial endeavor, earned a doctorate in entrepreneurship and ethics in Scotland, and returned to Westmont in 2005.  Most of his practical wisdom was gained while working as a strategic marketing manager for technology companies (i.e. Microsoft) and start-ups (i.e. Cranium) prior to co-founding and serving as President of his own business-to-business marketplace.  Inspired by these business experiences, Dr. Crockett’s research interests center on the intersecting areas of moral imagination and business creativity, and his publications have been featured in scholarly journals in the fields of marketing, entrepreneurship and business ethics.  He is an active member of academic communities in the areas of entrepreneurship and ‘business & society’ on both sides of the Atlantic.  At Westmont, Dr. Crockett’s research informs his passion for teaching in the areas of Management, Marketing, Practicum and a new course called Society, Morality & Enterprise.
