What is Classroom to Congregation?

Classroom to Congregation offers the resources of the Westmont faculty classroom to meet the educational needs of local congregations. By offering a wide variety of presentation topics, the Westmont faculty are eager to help your community think through the intersection of faith with contemporary moral issues and lifelong enduring questions.

How does Classroom to Congregation work?

There are many ways to participate in Classroom to Congregation. Simply click on the "Topics" link to find the different prepared faculty presentations. When you click on a specific topic it will take you to the bio of the presenting faculty member. If there is a particular faculty member that you are familiar with you can search for them under the "Faculty Bios" link. Once you have decided on a topic(s), please fill out our form, found under "Speaking Inquiries".

If you do not see a topic that fits the needs of your congregation, we are happy to discuss the topic and help to connect you with a faculty member who might be wiling create a presentation(s) that will meet the goals and purpose of the desired program. If you want to suggest a topic not listed, please complete the first and third sections of the form and indicate the desired topic in the provided "Questions and Comments" box.

How much does Classroom to Congregation cost?

We do not want cost to keep you from taking advantage of this opportunity. However, it is important to compensate the faculty members for their time and energies. A standard honorarium is $75 per speaker/per occasion.

We are more than willing to work with each church/organization if the cost is a problem. On the"Speaking Inquiries" form there is a space where you can request a scholarship to help bring a faculty presentation to your congregation.
