ThinkCamps is excited to offer you for the second summer, our creative writing camp, Living Like Writers.
This will be a new way to approach the writing experience. Our writing will be inspired by what we know best—ourselves! Over the course of two weeks we will be reading examples of all different styles and genres of writing and then choose our own writing project to draft, edit and take to publishing!
Campers will be in writing groups with fellow writers for revising, editing, and other feedback. Throughout the workshop we will be forming a community of writers. We will have the privilege of sharing our insights and stories with one another. This community will foster creativity and confidence!
We will begin each morning with a check-in of our discoveries as well as a writing warm-up activity. We will also take a break in the middle of each session, and snacks will be provided! All of this will be facilitated by a Credentialed Teacher with a Masters in Education All materials will be provided, so you only need to bring your creative self! Some writing pieces may need to be continued at home.
Our culminating project will be a bound version of all our best work to place on our bookshelves at home.
This Think Camp will be great for anyone who loves writing, as well as anyone who wants to build their skills and experience as a writer. Come join us!
