Traffic Counts for April + early May 2012
The Table below includes, for each day (starting with May 6th, the first day after the classes were over for the Spring 2011 semester), the raw traffic counts at Point 1 and Point 2, and the calculation of the daily Cold Spring Road trips attributable to Westmont College. Formula per Condition 9:
Westmont Daily Trips = [Point 1 count] minus [Point 2 count] minus [10 daily trips for each of the five private residences between Points 1 and 2].

The astute observe may note that 4/6-9 appear unusually low. That was Easter weekend this year.
A disruption of power to the upper counter (Point 2) was traced to a defective SCE meter. For the affected days (4/8 to 5/3) we have substituted 95% of the reading for the equivalent day in the most recent prior year with reliable data (ie, all 2011 except three anomalous days that look back to 2010). A power outage also affected the lower counter (Point 1) 4/17-21, so those days show 105% of 2011 readings. The net effectof both kinds of adjustments is to increase the counts attributable to Westmont in order to give to our neighbors the benefit of the doubt.
