I'm Liz Robertson and I am the Resident Director in Van Kampen Hall. I was born and raised in Upstate New York and completed my undergraduate degree at Wheaton College (IL). After teaching high school Spanish for a few years, I began working in higher education at HoneyRock, Wheaton College's Center for Leadership Development. Then I moved to Minnesota and began working in Residence Life at Bethel University while also completing an MA in Organizational Leadership. After a few years, I moved to Santa Barbara and became a Resident Director at Westmont College. I recently completed a PhD in Global Leadership & Change from Pepperdine University and love talking about leadership development and Gen Z!

I consider it a privilege to live and work alongside amazing college students in a climate where it's warm all year round. I enjoy talking about life with students over a cup of coffee (or tea in my case!). I love spending time traveling, reading, baking cookies, and going on fun adventures! It is my hope that each resident in VK feels a sense of belonging and is excited to be a contributing member of our hall as they explore who God made them to be. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the VK community!
