Spring 2011

As seniors in the Computer Science major, you have taken a wide variety of classes in which you learned what sometimes may have seemed unrelated topics. How does it all fit together? Despite the broad coverage to which you have been exposed, even more has been unexplored. In this capstone course, Senior Seminar, we attempt to survey the landscape, both what was covered and what yet remains, and think together about Computer Science as a coherent discipline. In addition, we will consider how Computer Science relates to other disciplines and to life in general.

We will also be exploring and preparing you for your next steps -- whether graduate school, private enterprise, government service, or other activities.

The course will revolve around a major senior project that you will conceive, design, implement (and manage implementation by assistants), test and deliver.
