Reflection on Contemporary Doctrines of God

Choose between these two close alternatives:

A. What, in a nutshell, is Colin Gunton's vision for how the doctrine of God operates? Choose one contemporary doctrine of God from Karkkainen you think Gunton would fundamentally agree with, and explain why. Now choose one you think Gunton would fundamentally disagree with, and explain why.

(or)

B. What, in a nutshell, is Colin Gunton's vision for how the doctrine of God operates? Choose one contemporary doctrine of God from Karkkainen you think would fundamentally agree with Gunton, and explain why. Now choose one you think would fundamentally disagree with Gunton, and explain why.

No hook? Nope, not this time. Just a basic question to trudge through. Still, I hope you will find it a basis for inspiration.

In the first alternative, Gunton is the "subject" of the inquiry; in the second, he is the "object." I offer both in case you find one more helpful than another (for instance, if you do or do not want to privilege his point of view).

Please keep your paper three pages, double-spaced, and follow the directions in my handout for writing papers. Remember, I want to see proper style, clear writing, a thorough answer to the question, and explicit citations of course materials.
