Christian doctrine centers by definition on Jesus Christ.
By appealing to course materials, briefly describe two of the following doctrines, and show how Christology (meaning the doctrine of the person and work of Christ) gives each one its definitive shape for Christians. (In other words, "go through Atlanta.") For specific points appeal to lectures, Jinkins, and Howard, and for examples you may wish to draw on McLaren, the relevant sections of Luther's Shorter Catechism, and Best Christian Writing.
The doctrine of God/Trinity;
divine impassibility or passibility;
the Holy Spirit (pneumatology);
the last things (eschatology);
unity, holiness, catholicity, or apostolicity of the Church;
liberation theology (as portrayed in Romero);
the order of salvation;
Scripture and Tradition;
doctrine and practice of Word and sacraments (read ahead in Howard).
Please keep your paper a one-page, single-spaced prose outline (no introduction necessary), and follow the directions in my handout for writing papers.
Remember, I want to see proper style, clear writing, a thorough answer to the question, and explicit citations of course materials.
