Vice President Chris Call
I am grateful for my staff and for the many ways in which they serve our college community. Administrators who report to me are Toya Cooper (College Counsel), Joanne Gish (Assistant Director of College Store and Mailing Services), Joan Wimberly (Director of Public Events), Bill Groeneveld (Associate Director of Procurement and Contracts) and Troy Harris (Assistant Vice President for Institutional Resilience).
I particularly want to thank Mariah Velasquez for her exceptional work as my Administrative Assistant these past three and a half years. Though Mariah has now wrapped up her work with me, I am delighted that she will remain at the college serving as Program Coordinator for the Dallas Willard Center. Among other things, Mariah made it possible for President Beebe and me to offer the Westmont Institute curriculum in Spanish, which gave staff for whom English is a second language an understanding of the college’s history and heritage; its foundational statements; current programs and operations; building the college (which includes nourishing a culture of integrity, care and respect); and future challenges and opportunities for the college. She also helped us make the transition from providing trustees with material via paper to sending them board documents via iBooks. Thanks so much, Mariah!
I am very pleased that Grace Spadoro is now serving as my Administrative Assistant. You may have had an opportunity to meet Grace when she was working on a temporary basis in Human Resources this past year. She will be a great addition to our team in the Administration and Planning division.
Thanks to all of you for your role at Westmont and for helping to make this community so special. My staff and I are honored to work alongside you, and hope you benefit from the division updates included in this newsletter.
