Student Success Meet the Peer Coaches
Hello friends! I am a sophomore music and English major, with a pre-law emphasis, from Orange County, CA. I love blush pink, reading a good book, discovering coffee shops, and watching beach sunsets! Here at Westmont, I’ve enjoyed playing cello in the Westmont Orchestra, taking piano lessons, being part of the debate team, and being an editor for the Horizon. I’m looking forward to serving as a peer coach this year!
I am a sophomore biology major from Phoenix, AZ, although I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. At Westmont, I am a member of College Choir, and I also volunteer with Young Life-Capernaum, which is a ministry in Santa Barbara that works with young adults with special needs. I love backpacking, skiing, eating charcuterie on the beach, and playing with my chocolate lab, Lulu. Westmont is an amazing place to grow, and I’m stoked to walk with you through your college experience!
Heyo! I'm a second year psychology major from Torrance, CA and am thrilled about this coming year! Some of the things that make me feel the most alive are being in God's creation, spending quality time with dogs, and of course-- bacon. The majority of my childhood was spent volunteering at my home church and being a pet mom to various bug species. At Westmont you'll see me with a camera as I am on both the Horizon and the Citadel. This also means I may end up asking to take your photo! I am an active member in two churches in the Santa Barbara community. Two truths and a lie about me are: I've rappelled down a waterfall, I've flown in a helicopter, and I've been skydiving. Schedule an appointment to find out which is the lie and talk about all things Westmont related!
Elinore Ford is a senior studying Biology and Global Studies. Both a California native and a national parks lover, Ellie connects with God best through the science and wonder of the natural world. She will never say no to a concert or karaoke night, and rejoices over the return of live music to Santa Barbara. Ellie has studied abroad with Westmont in Cairo and at Oxford through the CCCU Scholarship and Christianity in Oxford (SCIO) program.
