Housing Office Armington Hall

Armington Hall

Welcome to Armington Halls! As a collective of five buildings, clustered together on Lower Campus, this living area has been compared to a peaceful village nestled under the trees. But don't let the placid exterior fool you–this living area houses the largest number of students on campus so there is no shortage of things going on in our community! With ten sections, ten section lounges, one main kitchen and the central, wooded "grove," there are plenty of spaces for residents to interact and form community in both intimate and large group contexts. The Armington community is comprised of upper class students, which means we are involved in all sorts of teams, clubs, and groups across Westmont's campus. Some of the ways we enjoy coming together as an Armington whole are through Karaoke Nights, an incredibly festive Christmas Party, and sharing a riotous Lower Campus Block party with students in our neighboring residence halls (complete with burgers, lawn games and a giant inflatable obstacle course!).

The Armington Staff seeks to know, see, and celebrate the unique stories of each of our community members–the stories that have shaped each of us up to this moment, and the stories each of us are writing for ourselves going forward. We consider it a privilege that our stories intersect in this community and are committed to learning and growing with and from one another, as we each contribute to making this space a home.

Resident Director

Esther Pruitt

Hi! My name is Esther Pruitt, the resident director of Armington Halls. When I was a student at Covenant College, the Lord was faithful to bring mentors into my life who were willing to ask me hard questions, walk with me in my faith, and encourage me with the truth that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ (Romans 8:1). What an honor it is to partake in this same ministry of “life on life” discipleship that shaped me— now at Westmont College!
