Housing Sign-Ups for Next Year Due Dates, Notifications & Selection Events
Due Dates are firm and non-negotiable
New requests can only be submitted prior to midnight on the Due Date for that type of housing. Due Dates are displayed on the Sign-Ups request application, and may be viewed in advance at Calendar/Timeline. Once a Due Date is reached, that type is closed and no new requests or edits are possible. Due Dates reflect the sequential order when the various types of housing will be considered.
Notifications almost immediately follow each Due Date
Notifications refer to the email message from Housing to indicate whether a group request has been "qualified" (or "does not qualify") to proceed to a Selection Event. Notifications will include a specific time (e.g. 4:07pm) and location (e.g. Page-MPR) for the Selection Event.
Attend your Selection Event to complete your housing sign-up
The Selection Event dates are not included on the request application because not all requests qualify to select. Students must follow-up and attend their respective event (in person by one or more group members, or by another student who has been authorized as a proxy).
IMPORTANT: If your group fails to select a room at your Selection Event, your request will be forfeited and it may be offered to the next qualifying group. Only those who are invited by Housing may attend a Selection Event. If you forfeit your room selection, you and every member in your group request will need to START OVER with a new request application.
