Shuttle and Downtown Parking

The shuttle will run between program locations and select waterfront hotels. City busses and local trolleys stop at these locations, too, so be sure to look for the Westmont shuttle.

Shuttle Schedule

Thursday, February 4

  • 2:45 p.m. Shuttle departs for Main Campus
5:15 p.m. Shuttle departs for Westmont Downtown campus
*We encourage participants to become aquainted by eating together at local restaurants after a light reception at the Downtown campus. Participants will be responsible for their own transportation to hotels following dinner. The half-hour walk between mid-State Street and waterfront hotels is safe and beautiful; taxi service is also plentiful (e.g. Warrior Taxi Co., 805-896-0443; Lucky Cab, 805-968-5020).

Friday, February 5

  • 8:15 a.m. Shuttle departs for campus
6:15 p.m. Shuttle returns to waterfront hotels

Saturday, February 6

  • 8:30 a.m. Shuttle departs for Westmont Downtown campus for "Listening to the Community" panel
10:30 a.m. Shuttle departs Westmont Downtown campus for main campus (there is no shuttle service between waterfront hotels and main campus at this time)
4 p.m. Shuttle returns to waterfront hotels

Waterfront Shuttle Stops

We have two shuttle stops serving downtown hotels. Both are on Cabrillo Boulevard, the main street along Santa Barbara's downtown waterfront.

The East Beach stop is just to the east of the Hyatt, and serves all waterfront lodging except the Fess Parker Doubletree. From these hotels, most participants will walk to the beachfront boulevard (Cabrillo) and turn left. The stop is a bus turnout at the corner of Cabrillo and Ninos Dr. (see red pin on the map below).

Hyatt Stop

The Doubletree stop is just to the east of the Fess Parker Doubletree, and serves this hotel only. Exit the front of the Doubletree, toward the beach. Turn left and walk along the waterfront until you see a large rainbow arch sculpture. The shuttle stop is directly in front of this sculpture on Cabrillo Boulevard (see red pin on the map below).

Doubletree

The Westmont Downtown campus is located in a multiuse building at 26 W. Anapamu Street, Santa Barbara. The easiest parking is the city lot accessible from northwest-bound Chapala Street between Anapamu and Victoria Streets. The first 75 minutes of parking are free.
