Dr. Fisk graduated from Cairn University in Pennsylvania, earned a master’s degree in New Testament and Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and completed his doctorate at Duke University. He has taught at Westmont since 1999. His research interests focus on the Gospels, Jesus in historical context, and the interpretation of apocalyptic literature. He travels to the Middle East frequently and has led many Westmont off-campus programs to Israel/Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Egypt and Turkey. His books include: “Do You Not Remember? Scripture, Story and Exegesis in the Rewritten Bible of Pseudo-Philo,” “First Corinthians,” and “A Hitchhiker’s Guide to Jesus: Reading the Gospels on the Ground.”
