Zachary Erwin ’15 arrived at Westmont intending to study economics and business and to choose a practical and safe major. But when he took some courses, he realized he wanted to devote his life to something other than business. An introductory sociology class opened a new possibility. Realizing that he wants to help people, especially young people, he switched his major to sociology.
