Residence Life Check-In Process & What to Bring
Fall 2018 Check-In
The Residence Life Team looks forwarding to welcoming all their student back! Orientation and new students move-ins are Thursday, August 23. Move-ins for returning students are Saturday, August 25 and Sunday, August 26.
First-Years and Transfers
When making your way to and through campus, please follow the signs to park and proceed to your residence hall. The Orientation Team will be near the on-campus roads to help direct you. Students moving into Page, Clark or Emerson will enter through Westmont's Main Entrance on La Paz Road (2nd entrance). Students moving into Van Kampen, Armington, or the GLC will use Westmont's lower entrance on the left on Cold Spring Road (1st entrance).
Your move in time the morning of August 23rd is based on your residence hall and floor. Please plan to arrive on campus at your move-in time and not before as parking & traffic flow critically depend on the steady stream of vehicles designed by the move-in schedule.
Once you arrive a team of helpful students will get everything unloaded from your vehicle and delivered to your room. A driver will need to stay with your vehicle so it can be moved to a nearby lot once the unload is complete. For your convenience, a shuttle can transport you back to your hall from the parking lot.
Once you have moved in you will visit the Orientation Welcome Center on Kerrwood Lawn to pick up your Orientation materials and check out valuable campus resources.
Important: Incoming residents must complete check-in during one of the listed times. Moving into the room outside of these times could result in a $50 charge.
