Residence Life Join the RA Team!
The RA application process has several elements that allow Residence Life staff to evaluate a variety of aspects of the position. Applications open in January each year and must be submitted by the deadline to be considered. In the written application, students are asked to answer multiple essay questions that give staff a foundational knowledge of the individual. Applicants are asked to provide a faculty or staff reference which is evaluated alongside peer references to gather more information about the student. Next, all applicants are provided an in-person interview conducted by two Resident Directors. In the interview, applicants will be asked questions about themselves in order to build on knowledge of the individual and their ability to meet the qualifications of the position. Finally, applicants are asked to participate in group interview, which are observed by the Residence Life staff and allow them to see the interpersonal aspects of each applicant.
