What has been an impactful book or movie in your life (besides the Bible =))? Probably The Three Musketeers. It was a big achievement for me at the time, because it was so large and also complex literature. I read it when I was around 13, and it taught me to love stories.
What is a secret talent/skill of yours? I can pop my thumb. I learned how to do this a few weeks ago, when a friend grabbed my hand and just popped it without asking.
What are you excited for in Trailhead this summer? Getting to know my section and all the other students at Trailhead! Also learning and growing with everyone, while also having fun!!! And listening to good music in my room with whomever wants to join.
What was an impactful experience for you that occurred in the Residence Hall? I’d say just the community in general this past year in my residence hall made me feel so included! It was especially noticeable in the RAs in my dorm, who always found time to open up to me and also ask how I was doing.
Funny animal story? My brothers and I made an Instagram account for our two dogs. @lzmodeling
Favorite joke: What’s the difference between ignorance and apathy? I don’t know and I don’t care.
A favorite professor at Westmont and why: Maria van der Walt. She is so kind and intelligent, and even makes Calculus fun. It is so clear to me that all she wants is for her students to love math as much as she does. Even outside of the classroom she is thoughtful and patient, and just really great!
