Charles Farhadian

Charles Farhadian, professor of world religions and Christian mission, studies the relationship between religions and cultures, particularly Christianity in non-Western contexts, world Christianity, comparative missiology, and religion and globalization. His six books include “Christian Worship Worldwide: Expanding Horizons, Deepening Practices” (Eerdmans). He earned a Master of Divinity at Yale University and doctorate at Boston University.

Bruce Fisk

Bruce Fisk, professor of New Testament, has written three books, including “A Hitchhiker’s Guide to Jesus: Reading the Gospels on the Ground.” His research focuses on the Gospels, Jesus in historical context, and the interpretation of apocalyptic literature. He earned two master’s degrees at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a doctorate from Duke University.

Carmel Saad

Carmel Saad, assistant professor of psychology, specializes in the experience of biculturalism, examining the relationship between bicultural identity integration and cultural frame switching. Additionally, she examines cultural influences on emotion, creativity, self-concept and mental health. She earned a doctorate in social and personality psychology at UC Davis.

Jane Wilson

Jane Wilson, associate professor of education, focuses on developing strategies and situations to enhance student’s intrinsic motivation to learn. She helps Westmont student teacher candidates experience the joy that learning brings so they feel empowered and equipped to promote intrinsic motivation in their future classrooms. She earned a doctorate in educational psychology at UC Santa Barbara.

Telford Work

Telford Work, professor of theology, has contributed to scholarly and popular publications on topics ranging from theology to Christian unity. He has written two books, including “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg: Living through the Lord’s Prayer” (Eerdmans). He earned a master’s in theological and biblical studies at Fuller Theological Seminary and a doctorate at Duke University.
