Caps and Gowns
All graduates are required to wear a cap and gown to march in either Baccalaureate or Commencement. Graduates will place their order for their cap and gown at the Senior Fair, which is held Wednesday, February 6, 2013, on the Dining Commons lawn from 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Cap and gowns can be purchased at the Senior Fair for $30 (check, credit card or cash are all acceptable). Graduates may keep their cap and gown or recycle them in collection bins at the receptions following Commencement. The returned caps and gowns will be donated to World Vision and distributed to students around the world who cannot afford to purchase a cap and gown for their own graduation ceremony.
All seniors are encouraged to attend Senior Celebration, which will take place on Thursday, May 2 at 4 p.m. Immediately following this event, caps and gowns, Baccalaureate tickets, and one Commencement Parking Pass may be picked up at the event site, the Cabrillo Pavilion Arts Center, in the parking lot from 6-7 p.m. Caps and gowns will also be distributed from 2 - 5:30 p.m. on Baccalaureate Friday and from 8-8:30 a.m. on Commencement Saturday outside of the Kerr Student Center (by the Dining Commons parking lot). Baccalaureate tickets and Commencement parking passes will also be distributed to the graduating seniors during these times.
