Read about the natural bond between dogs and artists in the new book, Santa Barbara Artists and Their Dogs! Kerrie Smith and Judy Larson put together a creative book that features, as you would guess, Santa Barbara artists and their dogs.

This collaborative catalogue includes portraits of the featured artists with their dogs, as well as sweet little intros about each artists- and their dogs too!

The portraits and short anecdotes in the book are also on display in the downstairs level of the Museum until December 18th, 2021!

Books are available for purchase at the Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum for $32.33 by card, check, or cash!

With any other questions about purchasing a book, please email museum@westmont.edu

"Whether the dog is a muse, a model, a companion or a therapist, artists and dogs have forged deep attachments for centuries," says Judy L. Larson, R. Anthony Askew professor of art history and museum director.
